Listen to Angela: GH Preview for Week of October 7 - Wanting What's Yours

Wanting What’s Yours

“The entire world is driven by a will, blind and ruthless. In order to transcend the limitations of that world, you need to stop willing, stop desiring, stop hating. To conquer others is to have power. To conquer yourself is to know the way.”
                                                                                              --The Tao Te Ching

The Thin Ice

Eavesdropping is an art which requires a certain amount of stealth, cleverness, and finesse. The goal is to gather as much information as you can about the people on whom you are dropping eaves without getting caught. You either have a natural talent for this dubious art, or you acquire the skill through trial and error. Morgan Corinthos is in the trial and error stage, and he’s not starting on the bunny slope. He’s on the Diamond run with Ava and Julian—er, Derek—aw, hell, let’s just call him Julian from now on, okay? Okay.

Julian stops by to visit sis and further flesh out the plot against Sonny, while Morgan, sans shirt, lurks guilelessly—and then starts asking uncomfortable and probably unwise questions of Ava.  Mama Carly, still carrying the fire of rage as stubbornly as any Prometheus, delivers unto Sonny the news of their son’s new flame.  Sonny promises to deal with the matter, thus mollifying his ex, and promptly pays a visit himself to Ava in an attempt to pry Morgan from Medea. And if that’s not enough Greek and Bullfinch’s for you, just wait till next week.

Let’s Misbehave
His muse having flitted to Fiji or somesuch, Franco is battering the impassive wall of a creative block and is frustratingly unable to produce anything even as good as a kindergartner’s finger-painting. It also doesn’t help that his plans for succor are being otherwise diverted, as he catches up with Julian as the many-monikered man is on his way to a dinner date with Carly. This does not sit well with Franco, who never has and never will be good at sharing, with or without his tumor. Unsettled by this new fly in the ointment, Franco wafts a whiff of threat in the air, at which Julian simply sniffs and proceeds as planned. Franco, however, is undeterred. With plenty of time on his hands and an empty stomach of his own, all he needs is his own date for the evening.

After so many long months of waiting and worrying, Danny is finally home and healthy, much to the relief of those who love him. Molly and Rafe, thrilled with the baby’s recovery and bright future, celebrate and enjoy some time together and then return to Sam’s house – where they are stunned to discover a sublimely shirtless Silas. What is it with this town, men, and shirts?

It’s A Fire

Alexis is understandably distracted and confused lately – more so than usual – but she’s doubly befuddled when she is receives a request from Lulu and Dante to draw up adoption papers for little Constanza.  The Spencer in her rising to the fore, Lulu releases a summons to her erstwhile best friend and said best friend’s babydaddy – the tone of which makes Maxie and Spinelli realize they probably have a real fight on their hands, and it’s a fight that could very likely get very bloody very fast and leave nothing behind.

With a fight of a different sort looming ahead, Britt is beside herself wondering where her son could be, whether he’s all right, and how to find him.  It doesn’t matter to her how Ben came to be; all she knows is she wants him back. And with Anna in Switzerland, who’s looking? Nik reassures her as she hurls invective at the woman who put her in this situation – and then sees that Mutter has sent her an email…

Also next week:  Tracy finds Luke on Cassadine Island and learns the cure is almost finished; Olivia confides in Duke about her vision of Faison, and Patrick wishes Robin a Happy Birthday.
