BILLY MILLER TO JOIN THE CAST
OF ABC’S GENERAL HOSPITAL
Billy Miller, the three-time Emmy® Award-winning actor and Daytime
favorite, will be joining the cast of ABC’s
“General Hospital,” taking over the role of Jason Morgan, it was announced today by Frank
Valentini, Executive Producer, “General Hospital.”
“I am really excited to be working with such a talented and
acclaimed actor as Billy,” Mr. Valentini said. “Our cast is thrilled that he
will be joining our “General Hospital” family, and I know that he will be an
amazing addition to our talented cast.”
As Mr. Miller steps into the role of Jason, his character is
presumed to be dead but his body was never found. With his imminent return,
fans can look forward to an exciting new story that will be full of the twists
& turns along with shocking revelations that have made “General Hospital”
infamous for over five decades.
Mr. Miller has received three Daytime Emmy Awards. In 2010 and
2013, he won for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, and in 2014,
he won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
“General Hospital,” which celebrated its 51st
anniversary on April 1, 2014, is the longest running American soap opera
currently in production and the longest running scripted drama on television
currently in production. “General Hospital” has received the prestigious Emmy
Award for Outstanding Daytime Drama a record eleven times. “General Hospital”
was created by Frank and Doris Hursley. Frank
Valentini is the executive producer and Ron Carlivati is the head writer . “General Hospital” airs weekdays on the ABC
Television Network.
