Lightning
Those
who knew her best gather to remember and celebrate the life of Katherine
Chancellor, including current and past residents of Genoa City, all of whom at
some point were influenced by her forceful personality and indomitable spirit. Fan favorites Lauralee Bell, Corbin Bernsen,
Tricia Cast, Adrienne Frantz, Patty Weaver, and Michael Damian will appear Tuesday and Wednesday, September 3-4.
Damian
played rock musician Danny Romalotti from 1980-1998 and has returned for guest
appearances in later years. While Romalotti is now a successful musician and
performer, he started out young and hungry with Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman)
when they teamed up as a duo. Katherine Chancellor
provided the startup funds they needed to jumpstart their careers, setting them
on their respective paths to success.
"Danny owes so much to Mrs. Chancellor," Damian says. "She helped him get his big break in the music business she was a loving stepmother an overall mentor."
For her part, Jill reflects on her complex, complicated relationship with Katherine and struggles to say goodbye to someone who, arguably, was the most important person in her life.
